Oral cancer can affect the soft tissues of your mouth, including your cheeks, lips, tongue, and the soft and hard palate. It may also affect the throat and sinuses. Some indicators of oral cancer can include:

• Discoloration in your oral tissues. These may be red or white patches of speckles
• Changes in the texture of your soft tissues, such as bumps or rough spots
• A constant sore throat or the feeling that something is caught in the back of your throat
• Oral bleeding that is not from a trauma
• Problems with normal oral functions
• A sore on your face, neck or in your mouth that shows no signs of healing
• Ear pain
• A change in the way your teeth come together or in the fit of your dentures
